The success of every project depends on how well we understood the requirements of the customer. If that is captured well and tracked well, the rest of the processes will go smooth. Most projects end up with failure, due to misunderstanding or misinterpreting the requirements.

• Create a tree-like requirements list (modules, submodules and child requirements)
• Define requirements in use case fashion
• Prioritize requirements
• Classify each requirement
• Map which specifications are for what versions of the application
• Provide attachments if needed
• Map requirements to tests for coverage
