Lookup Codes Management

Lookup codes are the list items in list boxes. For example, Severity of a bug is a field in bug data entry screen and different companies use different severity codes. One company may use Major, Minor and Cosmetic and another company may use High, Medium, Low etc.

QAMonitor provides a way to configure all such listbox items across the application. This greatly enables every company to use their own tailor made nomenclature.

• Login as eadmin or project admin.
• Navigate to settings page.
• Click on code master. A new window will open.

Project - Select a project for which you want to set the lookup codes.

Type - Select the type of the lookup code. There are many pre-built types available such as Bugstatus, Designation etc.

Once you select the type,a set of prepopulated codes will be displayed on the left hand side panel. These are chosen based on industry standards.

Code - Enter the code that you want to add under the type.

Description - Enter the description.

Click on Add to add the new code to the type. This is applicable only for the project selected.

Repeat the above steps to add various codes under different types.

If you want to delete the existing code, select from the left hand side panel and click on Delete.

If you want to Modify the existing code, select from the left hand side panel and modify the description.
